Minkyu Kang

Minkyu Kang is a senior at Gen.G Global Academy with extensive experience in the esports field. He has achieved notable results in multiple tournaments in the game category Valorant, as well as other FPS games.

He is familiar with the competitive esports scene not only as a player
but also as a team manager. Beyond competition, Minkyu has a strong passion for gaming peripherals and has applied this knowledge through internship opportunities with big brands in the industry, such as Pulsar.
These experiences allowed him to explore areas such as product design, packaging, and business operations. In addition, he co-authored an academic paper on how game mechanics influence professional players’ hardware choices, further bridging his competitive background with research.

Looking to the future, his dream is to attend university and work toward transforming the revenue structure of esports. He hopes to build sustainable business models that can positively impact players, teams, and organizations worldwide.
